It is no longer a new thing that some fans believe attackers don’t make it at Chelsea. Over the years, so many attackers have come to Chelsea and performed far below expectation. Presently, there are a couple of attackers at Chelsea who are being criticized for poor performances. The likes of Kai Havertz, Hakim Ziyech, Christian Pulisic and Mason Mount are all performing poorly at Chelsea.

I think it is now justifiable that attackers don’t do well in Chelsea because of the following reasons:

1. The present attackers in Chelsea are performing badly, but when they were with their former clubs they were performing greatly. Kai Havertz is still regarded as one of the best players in the game of football because of his achievement in his former club. Hakim Ziyech was also doing greatly with Ajax before he joined Chelsea, but look at these two players now, they are playing below expectations.

2. The players who left Chelsea as flops are making impact at their new clubs; Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner are the recent attackers who left Chelsea, and they are doing greatly at Inter Milan and RB Leipzig respectively. While Chelsea were losing to Southampton, Timo Werner was scoring a hat-trick for RB Leipzig.

There are other attackers who left Chelsea to excel at their new clubs, Alvaro Morata was a flop at Chelsea, but now he is one of the biggest attackers in Europe.

With these points, the saying that attackers don’t do well at Chelsea is justifiable.
