Arsenal versus Bournemouth match preview....CONTINUE READING
Bournemouth faced Manchester City in a tough match last weekend, losing 4-0 to the current champions. They will face a strong Arsenal side, the only other team in the division with a perfect record.
Scott Parker and Mikel Arteta have met three times in the Premier League, the first two times when Parker was at Fulham. Parker’s Fulham side earned a point against Arsenal at the Emirates but lost 3-0 at Craven Cottage in 2020/21.
After narrowly missing out on the Champions League last season, Arteta’s side has improved significantly since those games.
The quality of Gabriel Jesus, Bukayo Saka, and Martin Odegaard will probably be able to get past a Bournemouth defense that kept a clean sheet against Aston Villa on the first day of the season, despite Bournemouth’s best efforts to stymie Arsenal’s free-scoring attack.
Bournemouth injury list.
Jordan Zemura is expected to make a comeback after missing the match against Manchester City with COVID-19. David Brooks is still on the sidelines, but thankfully he is making a comeback after being told he had Stage 2 Hodgkin lymphoma in October of last year.
For the Cherries, summer additions Ryan Fredericks and Joe Rothwell are still absent. While Marcos Senesi, a recent addition, is pushing to make his home debut, Dominic Solanke will be evaluated.

For the game at Dean Court, Fabio Vieira is still questionable. Since Mikel Arteta appears set to name an unchanged lineup, Emile Smith-Rowe, who came off the bench in their 4-2 victory over Leicester, is likely to stay on the sidelines.
