The Mikel Arteta side secured three vital points away from home yesterday after beating Leeds United 4-1.
The club could also take a step from their current position and move further to number three, the spot that is being occupied by Chelsea.
Chelsea FC have been expressing a downtrend and their condition could get worse if Thomas Tuchel do not put his team’s acts together.
However, looking at Arsenal two upcoming fixtures, there is every chance of them overtaking Chelsea if they could secure the maximum nine points that is at stake.
Norwich vs Arsenal
Arsenal’s next Premier League fixture will be against Norwich City on December 26th.
They may look to extend their unbeaten streak and claim the available points. However the would also hope that Chelsea suffer a defeat in their Matchweek 18 tie today and the next game as well.
2. Arsenal vs Wolves –
Arsenal would hope to round up the year in a grand style when they welcome Wolves at the Emirates stadium on the 28th of December 2021. I do not expect them to struggle in this particular encounter.
A win could see them move to 38 points. Again they will have to hope that Chelsea’s lose their matchweek 20 game as well.
With 6 points from their next two fixtures, Arsenal has a chance of displacing Chelsea in the top three.
