The renowned doctor joined Arsenal in 2009 and has since established himself as a significant role at the north London club.
O’Driscoll, 52, was set to join Liverpool in 2020 but decided to stay. He has also rejected down additional exit possibilities.
United, on the other hand, have snatched him away from the Emirates Stadium in a deal that is anticipated to be finalised later this summer.
A transition phase will allow O’Driscoll to assist in the integration of a replacement, which is a setback for Arsenal but has been handled graciously.
The Englishman is immensely loved at Arsenal and was not looking to go, but the United opportunity appears to have been too good to pass up, and it also allows O’Driscoll to be closer to his family in the north-west.
