Arsenal had to crawl their way to victory after substitute Reiss Nelson scored the winner at the stoppage time to send the home fans into a rapturous celebration. Arsenal is currently at the top of the table with 63 points after 26 games.
Although Arsenal may have shown that they serious in winning the Premier League title this season considering the magnificent way they have been playing, however, if the truth be told, the Gunners are not as infallible as they appear to be after Bournemouth scored twice before them.
One big weakness that might hinder Arsenal from winning the title this season is ingrained in the midfield. During the game against Bournemouth, it was obvious that the likes of Odegaard and Vieira struggled to control the midfield as a result of their lack of physicality and technicality. Vieira who appears the more culpable could not hold on to the ball for too long as he continually loses possession.
If Arsenal are serious about winning the English Premier League title this season, coach Mikel Arteta needs to instill the midfield with grit and discipline.
