It was gathered that the pastor, identified as Evangelist Adegboyega, was killed by the Fulani herdsmen in Ogbomoso.

The three suspects, according to OntimeNews, stirred the reactions of Nigerians after they confessed to their crimes and said they should be released because the pastor they ‘killed is already in heaven’.

The pastor was said to have been killed in the Gege area, along the Ogbomoso-Iseyin road.

He was reportedly killed when he challenged the herdsmen who invaded his farm with their cattle to graze his crops.

Further reports by Daily Post say the three suspects were first apprehended by villagers who took them to the palace of Soun of Ogbomosho, Oba Afolabi Ghandi Olaoye before they were handed over to the police.

The body of the deceased had been deposited in a private mortuary.

Meanwhile, in another tragic story, two traditional rulers in Ekiti State lost their lives after they were attacked while returning from a meeting by gunmen suspected to be herdsmen.

The incident which threw their towns into confusion was said to have happened between Oke-Ako and Ipao-Ekiti in Ajoni Local Government Area of the state.

Reports say the corpses of the duo (Onimojo of Imojo Ekiti in Oye Local Government Area and Elesun of Esun Ekiti in Ajoni, Ikole Local Government Area of Ekiti State) were dragged into a nearby bush by the herdsmen.
