Some people don’t just like seeing wall geckos around them, they rather prefer to kill them. If you wish to get rid of wall gecko, I will share some home remedies that will help you achieve that.

According to Healthline, here are effective ways to get eid of wall geckos in your home.

Using garlic and salt around your house

The use of garlic and salt are an age-long remedy in getting rid of wall geckos for a long time now. It works by blending the garlic and salt together, and pread the mixture in the areas of your house where you normally see wall geckos. By doing this, the smell of garlic and salt will chase them away because they do not like it such odor.

Make a coffee and tobacco ball

Using moist coffee grounds and some tobacco powder, form a small ball with your hands and stick it on the end of a toothpick. Put this near where the geckos are nesting or where they might easily find it, like an outdoor entryway. The geckos will consume some of this ball and die.

Onions

After cutting your onions into pieces, you will keep it in corners of your house to help chase wall geckos away. Onions have this strong odour that irritates wall geckos, thereby making them uncomfortable. It is preferable you use a fresh onions and not an already used one.

Eliminate all insect in your house via routine fumigation or use of insect killer

Gecko lizards feed on insects and if insect are not available in your home/office, they won’t like to live there. So regular fumigation or use of insecticides can help eliminate insect in your house.
