The transfer window is going to shut at 11 PM BST today (September 1). Chelsea are seemingly not done with their transfer business and we could see some players joining or leaving before the deadline.
Let’s take a look at all that could happen within the next 10 hours.
Arrivals
Edson Alvarez: The midfielder skipped the last two training sessions as he wants to move to Chelsea – the Blues have already made a €50m bid for Alvarez. The final decision now rests with Ajax.
Anthony Gordon: Never say never but the Gordon move looks to be off at the moment, with Frank Lampard saying it’s too late for him to leave and Everton not satisfied with Chelsea’s reported €40m offer.
Departures
Billy Gilmour: Brighton are pushing for a permanent transfer but the final decision on the move depends on Tuchel.
Hakim Ziyech: The winger reportedly wants to leave but it’s unlikely that he gets a move so late in the transfer window. He was linked with Ajax and Spurs – the former can’t sign players anymore as the Dutch transfer deadline is over and it seems impossible that the Blues would allow a move to a direct London rival.
