A move that might mark the end of the midfielder’s career at Old Trafford is the fact that the loan agreement has an option to buy. The midfielder made the journey to Spain on Sunday night, and he was seen at the airport in Sevilla.

An expert on transfers named Fabrizio Romano has said that the clubs have reached a consensus over a loan with an option to purchase. However, Romano also mentioned that United is anticipated to include a buy-back mechanism in the agreement. The Daily Mail says that Sevilla will have to pay £17.5 million for the option to purchase over the summer.

As a result of Mejbri’s refusal to accept offers from other English teams, he made the move from Monaco to Manchester United in the summer of 2019. A contract with Monaco that might be valued up to £9.3 million was reportedly reached between the Red Devils and Monaco.

At the time of his arrival at Old Trafford, Mejbri was just 16 years old. He had already played for the club’s junior teams and had made his debut with the senior team in May 2021, when they defeated Wolves by a score of 2-1.

During the previous season, he was on loan to Birmingham City, a team that competes in the Championship. He played 41 times for the Blues, contributing one goal and six assists to his total.

His single goal for United came in a 3-1 loss to Brighton & Hove Albion at Old Trafford earlier in the season. He has only made 13 senior appearances for United, five of which have been in the Premier League this season.

His only goal for the club came in another match against Brighton and Hove Albion. He has been routinely selected in matchday squads this season but minutes have been hard to come by, with Everton also keen in a loan deal but Sevilla have won the race for the teenager.

He was supposed to be out of contract in the summer but United triggered a 12-month extension in his term earlier this month, as manager Erik ten Hag announced the decision ahead of the FA Cup triumph against Wigan Athletic.
