The South African News reports that Moodley passed away on August 15, 2021, and that his body has been kept in a mortuary in Johannesburg ever since.
Moodley, 53, bragged of having the power to resurrect the dead. He was sick and eventually died. His relatives and church members reportedly attended the funeral home to pray for his resurrection.
Members of the pastor’s Pentecostal church and family had been looking forward to his resurrection in the hope that he would come back to life as foretold. They had even built a special room in their church to house the pastor’s body until his resurrection, in the belief that he would rise again just like Jesus did.
Throughout the waiting period, the church kept a strict fast and prayed constantly in the hopes that the pastor would suddenly awaken. Yet as the days turned into weeks and those into months, it became more and more obvious that their cherished pastor would not live.
