A woman has narrated how she recently flew back home with nothing to her name after three decades in the United Kingdom.

Jackie moved to the UK immediately after finishing high school as her family wanted her to have a better life and opportunities. However, 30 years later, she has returned exactly as she left.

Speaking in a YouTube interview, with Lynne Zaabu World, the woman recalled that her life in the UK started taking a turn for the worse after the COVID-19 pandemic because life became unbearable for her.

Jackie said each job she wanted required her to work from the office, and this became impossible as she could barely manage to take care of her son.

The mother of three also admitted that she was not in a good place financially, as she had been scammed of her life savings in a land deal.

Jackie has been living in her unfinished house with her nine-year-old son since returning home.

She thanked her niece, whom she trusted with the construction of the house, and though it is unfinished, she is happy that it became her fall-back plan when she moved back home.

The woman suggested that anyone with a steady flow of income should not relocate abroad because life is not necessarily easier.
