Mikel Arteta wants to sign a number of new players to refresh his squad after heartbreakingly missing out on the title for a second season running.

Of course, while new players coming in are a priority for the Arsenal boss, there’s also an acceptance that some players will need to be sold.

The likes of Emile Smith Rowe and Eddie Nketiah face uncertain futures. While defender Jakub Kiwior is believed to be on the radar of AC Milan.

And according to a further report from Italy, another Arsenal player is now on Milan’s radar.

According to a report from Sport Italia, Milan are looking into the market to come up with new striker targets.

In this report, it mentions Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus could become one of the players Milan end up turning to.

It’s suggested that Arsenal will need to make some sacrifices in terms of wages and the fee if they do wish to sell but it’s claimed that like with Romelu Lukaku leaving Chelsea, nothing is off the table.

Jesus, a £45m signing from Man City, was widely credited with improving the whole squad when he signed with Oleksandr Zinchenko.

However, he has had a poor season by his standards and spent yet more time injured. Indeed, Leandro Trossard has become Mikel Arteta’s go-to option up top.

There’s no hiding place when it comes to winning league titles and just like Man City moved him on, Arsenal might have to do the same.

Ultimately, the ‘electric‘ Jesus does not score enough goals to be considered a top number nine at any club.

Yes, he brings a lot to the table in terms of work-rate and overall play in the final third. But just eight goals last season and three separate spells out injured have left question marks.
