Solomon Oyuru, 28, attached to Expose Security Ltd reportedly shot and killed Deo Ogen, 18, a student of Omoro Ber Vocational School. The shooting allegedly happened on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at about 4:42pm at Gasco fuel station in Gulu city.

It is alleged that the deceased, in the company of four others yet to be identified, approached the fuel station with a matchbox with intentions to set the station ablaze, prompting Oyuru to discharge a bullet that hit his head, killing him instantly.

David Mudong Ongom, the Aswa West Police region spokesperson, confirmed the incident saying the suspect is in their custody for questioning, while the deceased’s body was taken to the Gulu Regional Referral Hospital morgue for a postmortem.

According to Mudong, the killer gun, Reg. No. PSO 564210980-15675, with four rounds of ammunition, one cartridge, two matchboxes, and a plastic water bottle containing waragi were recovered from the crime scene and shall be used to assist with investigations.
