Insecurity in the country is getting emboldened every day. The latest abduction in Plateau state is frightening. The abductors kidnapped an ASUU chair of the plateau state chapter and a former governorship aspirant in Plateau state in their residence. They are friends, and the criminals pick them up in their households. These criminals don’t have any fear for anybody. The Punch reported these abductors to call some relatives of these men, and they requested 100 million naira as the ransom. If they want to see their relative again. This is disheartening. How do they want the relative to get the money from? One of them is a politician named Kemi Nshe, and a university teacher, Dr Monday Hassan.
I wonder where they will get the money from. There is uncertainty about their abduction because nobody could find out where they took these men. The Plateau State Police Command has stated that they deploy security personnel to locate where they took them. This is now looking like a business enterprise, and these criminals have kidnapped many dignitaries.
The Government must look for means to end these habits by these criminals. You are in your house and you will be jittering because anything can happen. The security personnel must devise a means to outsmart them. There are suggestions by security experts, which will be profitable if they can take the advice.
CCTV cameras everywhere should be a necessity now for different establishments. It will help the police trace these felons. Devices like trackers, jammers, etc. can help when unveiling the identity of these people. The pace the insecurity is going, if we are not careful, they will spare nobody.
