The Evening Standard reports that James underwent the scan as a precautionary measure after experiencing some pain. Chelsea is optimistic and expecting positive news from the scan, allowing James to participate in the team’s five scheduled pre-season fixtures.
The Blues’ pre-season journey begins next Thursday against newly promoted League Two side Wrexham.
They will then face Brighton, Newcastle, and Fulham in the Premier League’s Summer Series across various locations in the United States.
