He stated that the Igbos should never repeat their political activities in Lagos State in 2027 as happened this year – 2023.

He added that Lagos is like other states: Imo, Anambra and not the Federal Capital Territory. Therefore, it is a Yoruba land and should never be referred to as a ‘no-man’s land’

Lagos is like Anambra, Imo, any Nigerian state. It is not No Man’s Land, not the Federal Capital Territory. It is Yoruba land. Mind your business.”

Despite the reports of violence, including loss of lives, election disruptions, voter suppression and intimidation by political thugs and hoodlums on Saturday night, Bayo Onanuga tweeted that the ‘owners of Lagos’ made a clear statement that Lagos is not ‘no man’s land’.

In sequel to the tweet on Sunday, the 19th of March, Onanuga stated that he doesn’t owe anyone an apology for the tweets he made earlier. This is because he is asserting that the Igbos are an existential threat to the Yorubas in Lagos.
