1. No defensive Midfielder

Potter picked Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Mateo Kovacic in the midfield ahead of Dennis Zakaria and Jorginho. He should have started a play-breaker that can shield the defensive backline well.

2. Not starting Conor Gallagher

Starting Mason Mount ahead of Conor Gallagher in the midfield was a bad move from the manager. Mason Mount has been performing poorly this season and should be benched in favor of Conor Gallagher.

3. Changing formation

The 3-4-3 formation has not favored Chelsea this season, losing one and drawing one in their first two matches in the champions league this season. He used the 4-3-3 formation against Crystal Palace and got his first win. He should have stocked with the formation.
