The most recent reports from France indicate that they preferred that person to be Benoit Badiashile. The AS Monaco player, 21, recently started the UEFA Nations League matches against Austria and Denmark and is already a part of Didier Deschamps’ plans.
Now, according to Sport Witness’s citation of L’Equipe, Chelsea has “positioned themselves” as one of the frontrunners interested in signing him in “recent weeks,” but Monaco is presently deterring them. Since then, Badiashile has acknowledged that he is still modest and is not in a hurry to quit the Ligue 1 team.
“Having modesty and respect does not preclude having ambition. I am a patient person. I’m playing in a large club and don’t want to move any faster.
Things will be done if they need to be done, such as during the World Cup, according to Badiashile, who was quoted by Sport Witness.
“With a leaving, you shouldn’t put pressure on yourself. In a locker room, we were discussing personalities. If I had stayed longer, would I have been as productive recently? The deal will undoubtedly be difficult, but it seems like one to watch in the future.
