One of these players is Mariano Diaz, who has pretty much been forgotten at Real Madrid. His current contract ends next summer, and unless something very strange happens between now and then, it seems like his time at Santiago Bernabeu is coming to an end.
AS claimed that one of the seven players whose contracts end in 2023, Mariano, is definitely not going to keep playing.
Still, that might be the best thing for everyone involved. On the one hand, he doesn’t seem to be part of the plans for the first team and might do better if he went somewhere where he would have a role. On the other hand, Real Madrid will be able to replace him with someone who might actually help the team.
Mariano was brought back from Lyon after having a great time there, and he was given the number 7 shirt that Cristiano Ronaldo used to wear.
Even though early hopes were high when Mariano came back to Real Madrid, it seems safe to say that things have not gone as planned.
Well, that’s how football can be sometimes, and I hope everyone can learn something from this. Even though the move didn’t work, Real Madrid has kept winning, and Mariano has added a few more medals to his cabinet.
