During a public gathering, the outspoken legislator referenced Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi’s cryptic message on Gachagua’s fate.

“If there’s anyone who is going home, he’s the one to take the first ticket to go home. Oscar Sudi gave him two weeks, and we are saying those two weeks he should go home,” she said amid a heavy downpour.

Maina did not hold back in her criticism of the Deputy President for what she described as arrogance and chest-thumping before President William Ruto.

“He shouldn’t threaten me, he shouldn’t tell me about votes—only God commands my destiny, not him. Even when we stood, we didn’t look for him; he found out that we were standing. He should stop boasting, stop beating his chest in front of the President—his time is done; it’s home, express,” Maina continued.

Maina, who is married to Mathira MP Eric Wamumbi, noted that Gachagua no longer enjoys political support in his former constituency.

“I am the wife of his member of parliament; he’s been rejected even at home,” she emphasised. Maina was quick to reassure the residents that Mt. Kenya had capable leaders who could step into the Deputy President’s role, asserting that the region would retain the position.

She mentioned several potential successors, including Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki, National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah, and Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro.

“Don’t think we people from the mountain don’t have leaders who can lead us. We have Kindiki Kithure, we have Kimani Ichung’wah, we have Ndindi Nyoro, and that Deputy President’s seat will stay in Mt Kenya, and we have leaders who will guide us,” Maina said.

She appealed to President Ruto, asking him to step aside and let leaders from the Mt. Kenya region manage the issue.

Earlier, Uasin Gishu woman representative Gladys Boss Shollei made it clear to the Deputy President that he would be impeached.

Shollei stated that she would be in charge of the impeachment motion and that no one would touch Ruto while she was still around.

Her sentiments came hours after Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi claimed that Gachagua would be removed from office after two weeks…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE ARTICLES>>>
