The Reds will be looking to history as they were the last team to beat Madrid in the UCL final, which was all the way back in 1981 and in Paris.
Jurgen Klopp will obviously field his strongest possible XI for the biggest game of the season. Yesterday, we asked our Tribuna users what the XI should be and here are the top two comments from the post.
Hadijh_LFC: “Defense has to be TAA-Matip-VVD-Robbo, Midfield has to be Hendo-Fabinho-Thiago Front has to be Salah-Mane-Diaz Cos we need to rush them nothing like calming the game down.”
4ever Red: “Joel Matip has to start, he plays more football brings the ball out more and has fewer mistakes in him. Konate for the future.”
Keeping these comments in mind, here we go for the final fans’ selected XI of the season.
Fans’ preferred XI for Champions League final
LFC XI: Alisson; Trent, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Henderson, Thiago; Salah, Mane, Diaz
This looks to be our strongest XI of the season and on paper, it is a team that can get the job done in any fixture.
Of course, the Champions League final is a different beast but hopefully, the Reds can defeat Madrid and bring the big trophy back home.
