Done deal: Arne Slot signs new deal with Feyenoord...CONTINUE READING

Arne Slot has penned a new long-term deal with Dutch champions Feyenoord which will keep him at the club until 2026. The Dutchman had held exploratory talks with Tottenham over a move to bring Slot to the Premier League next season, with the north London club still without a long-term replacement for Antonio Conte.

Slot, together with his agent Rafaela Pimenta, met with Feyenoord chiefs on Wednesday for crucial talks with regards his future, subsequently signing the new long-term deal.

Gundogan urged to snub Arsenal

Former Liverpool ace Stevie Nicol has urged reported Arsenal target Ilkay Gundogan to join Barcelona instead of the Gunners if he leaves Manchester City when his contract expires at the end of the season. Nicol told ESPN: “If you are going to cut your ties, then I would go somewhere else.

I would either go back to Germany, to Barcelona or to a club of that ilk. “The only thing I am good with is that he’s a better player than [Granit] Xhaka.

If you can replace what you have got, with better, then that’s the way forward. “That’s the reason why I think it’s a good move for Arsenal. It’s just from a Gundogan point of view, I don’t understand it.”

Rice chooses Arsenal

Arsenal are in the driver’s seat to complete a deal for West Ham United captain Declan Rice this summer. According to the Mirror, Rice is ready to inform the Gunners that they are his preferred destination at the end of the season.

Manchester United are also in the race for his signature, but a ‘lot of work’ has gone into convincing the 24-year-old to move to north London. And he is expected to relay his decision after the Europa Conference League final against Fiorentina.
