In a statement on his X account, the member of Parliament asserted that the signatures backing the impeachment of the deputy president are overwhelming. While appearing to criticize Gachagua for his remarks about the Mt. Kenya region being shareholders in the Kenya Kwanza government, Amisi emphasized that tribalism is not allowed in the country.

“The signatures are overwhelming. Tribalism has no place in Modern Kenya!” Amisi’s statement read. This follows confirmation from several MPs that they have signed in support of Gachagua’s impeachment motion. National Assembly Deputy Majority Leader Owen Baya announced that the signature collection is ongoing and that the motion will be presented to the House in due course.
