1. Meditation

Meditation generally involves focusing attention in a calm, controlled way. Meditating may have multiple benefits for both the brain and the body.

According to the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health research suggests that meditation may benefit the brain by slowing brain aging and increasing the brain’s ability to process information.

2. Socialize

Studies from 2019 suggest that socially active people are also at a lower risk of developing dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.

Even if you are an inveterate introvert, seeking social interactions can be beneficial to your brain in both the short and long term. Some ideas for staying socially engaged include signing up for volunteer opportunities in your community, joining a club, signing up for a local walking group, and staying in close touch with your friends and family.
