The Blues reached the final phase of the competition after defeating Tottenham Hotspur in the quarter finals by 3 goals to 2 on aggregate, while Liverpool edged out Arsenal to book their place in the final.
The Reds defeated Mikel Arteta’s side by 2 goals to nil today to qualify for the final round of the League Cup as two brilliant goals from Diogo Jota sealed all maximum points for Jurgen Klopp’s men.
The Portuguese international opened scoring for the visitors in the 19th minutes before adding the second goal late in the second half.
