Everything might feel a bit confused when you’re in the thick of a relationship. You believe everything is going great, yet you have a nagging doubt in the back of your mind. There are a lot of signals that your relationship will last, but they might be hard to see while you’re in the middle of it and feeling all those feelings.

Nobody wants to go through that, which is why we choose our partners so carefully. However, there are indications that your partnership will be successful. You simply need to be aware of them.

1. They’re the first person you talk to.

Your spouse is the first person you speak to when anything happens, whether it’s good or negative. You’re not going to call every single one of your acquaintances initially. You make certain that your spouse is the first to learn about the situation. Isn’t that why you’ve chosen them as your companion? [Read: 10 Signs Your Relationship Isn’t Worth Saving]

2. You are unafraid to express your true feelings.

The relationship will not continue if you are unable to openly express yourself in front of your lover. You can be yourself around your spouse and vice versa in a good relationship. What’s the point of it if not? Nobody wants to spend their whole relationship in the dating stage.

3. Your partner doesn’t let you give up.

Your spouse should be there to encourage you when you’re feeling down. We all go through periods where we don’t feel like we’re making progress toward our objectives; it’s a natural part of life. A true companion, on the other hand, will make sure to support you even when you’re sad.

4. You both make a conscious effort to spend time with each other.

Couples that don’t spend enough time together are more likely to fail. We understand that you may occasionally require your own personal space.

However, it takes time and work to have a good relationship. Once a week isn’t enough time with your lover. Everything hinges on the passage of time. Ask yourself whether you’re spending enough quality time together if you want to know if your relationship will endure.

5. You have flaws and your partner knows that.

Don’t be concerned; we’re all flawed. Your spouse, on the other hand, is well aware of their own flaws. But here’s the thing: we’re all equal because we’re all imperfect. They have loved you despite your imperfections, and you have reciprocated. A couple is bound to fail if they do not realize one other’s weaknesses.

6. When you speak, your partner listens.

A couple that listens to each other when they speak is more likely to last. Yes, you pay attention to your spouse even if the talk looks to be irritating or silly.

They’re speaking because they want to be heard, and they’re conversing because they want to be understood. Maybe they’re trying to tell you something on a deeper level, and you need to listen.

7. Your sex life is not only flourishing, but it is also thrilling.

Sex is just as vital as everything else on this list, and if you can still be amazed by your spouse, your relationship is likely to endure.

8. You share the same values

Many individuals are unaware that for a relationship to endure, both parties must share same underlying principles. It might be an issue if they claim to love God but you don’t. It’s an issue if they support volunteering but you don’t.
