1. Athlete’s Foot

– This foot problem is a fungal infection that occurs when a person walks around barefoot in warm, wet areas like public pools and locker rooms. Its symptoms include peeling skin, itchiness, and redness between the toes.

It is important to note that the symptoms can be seen on the bottom of the feet. Treatment includes an over-the-counter chemical peels, which will reduce the symptoms.

2. Foot Perspiration

– This is a condition caused by wet or sweaty feet. It is known to cause a bad odor and fungal infections. Antiperspirant spray can help reduce sweating. Also, consider investing in shoe inserts with active charcoal. Besides that, you can check out breathable work boots to reduce sweating. If you experience excessive sweating, speak to your doctor.

3. Nail fungus

– Also known as onychomycosis, this condition makes toenails ridged or discolored. Of course, it is a fungal infection that can be treated using antifungal medication.

4. Blisters

– Blisters are small bubbles on the skin filled with fluid. There are many reasons that can cause blisters, such as tight-fitting shoes, excessive friction, burns, and more.

If a blister is picked or poked and the fluid is removed, it can cause infection and pain. If you are experiencing blisters, it is wise to leave them to heal on their own. Do not forget to investigate what caused the blisters so that you can prevent them from forming again in the future.

5. Warts

– These are bumps that form on the skin and are caused by HPV (Human Papillomavirus). You should note that there are more than five types of warts that affect human beings. Although they are not a matter of extreme concern, they can be painful, embarrassing, and contagious. Moreover, they can grow on any part of the body.

6. Bunions

– These are bumps that are bony and painful. It occurs at the joint of the big toe. It is a condition that is more common in women and develops due to excessive pressure. This can be from wearing narrow, tight shoes. Investing in bunion shield pads and wearing wider shoes will help prevent bunions from forming. Apply ice may give paid relief and soreness.

7. Corns and Calluses

– These are thick and hardened layers of dead skin that commonly form at the side of the toe or under the feet. They form due to excess pressure and friction. The good news is that they do not pose any serious medical problems, but they can be painful. When they become very painful, seek the advice of a skilled physician.

Although a majority of us take care of our skin, hair, and face; we often forget the feet. Ignoring foot care can have serious consequences, such as soreness, calluses, blisters, a fungal infection, pain, and more.
