This is very vital because it’s not easy to move on with life after a heartbreak. We usually struggle to put our past behind us, even when we find a new partner. The experiences you had with your ex keep haunting us for one reason or another.

If you don’t let your close friends and family know what you are going through, you may not be able to find comfort in them.

2. Don’t bottle up your emotions for longer than necessary. Try to find a way to express how you feel. Heartbreak is not something to keep secret because you are an introvert.

This can worsen the damage that has been done to your emotions. Look for people who respect your feelings and talk to them about your hurt. They will listen to you and sympathize. Ensure that you avoid interacting with those who will only figure out where you went wrong with your ex.

Take good care of your emotional and physical well-being. If you find that you are losing your appetite for food or experiencing insomnia, try to see a physician to get you some medication. Remember, your health and appearance are very important to you in connecting with a new partner.

4. Remember that heartbreak is not only peculiar to you; many people have gone through it, and they survived. It is part of the things in life that make us stronger. Just see it as part of the things you have to go through.

The easiest way to avoid being hurt by the experience is to recognize it as part of your destiny and never condemn yourself for it. Your happiness is not in anyone’s hands. Don’t let what your ex did gain control over your peace of mind.

5. Try to forget about everything that happened and stop brooding over it. Leave them in the past and focus on your life now. Consistently rejecting those memories each time they come to your mind can take some time.

6. Tell yourself that the problem that led to the breakup was not entirely your fault. You may be conducting a self-examination, but blaming yourself will not change anything.
