Some of the things that make a woman miss her menstrual periods include.

1. Low body weight

Low body weight can make a woman miss her period. Women with eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa may pass through an absence of menstruation. If your body weight is very low, you might cease to ovulate because of changes in hormones. Athletes who partake in certain forms of exercise, such as marathons, may also miss their periods.

Polycystic ovary syndrome is a health condition in which your body makes more of the male hormone androgen. Together with androgens, other hormones like insulin can also be interrupted by polycystic ovary syndrome.
