However, despite our greatest efforts, at times, we inadvertently end up driving the man of our dreams away.
The relationship ends and we are left wondering what went wrong. We take time to think about it and even consult friends but we do not seem to figure it out.
Well, if you are interested in keeping your next relationship and knowing what not to do, we are sharing with you things you do that turn him off.
If you are the kind of woman who treats people in a crass way for no good reason, you are doing a disservice to yourself. Here’s the 4-1-1 sis;
The way you treat other people, especially those you don’t know and those who sit lower on the social ladder, says more about you than it does about them.
This signals that you only respect people not for who they are but for what they have and it’s a red flag for any man. What happens if he loses all the gloss?
If you are this type of woman, you need to be self-aware enough to catch yourself doing this because it is the first step to correcting this behaviour.
That said, what if someone truly crosses your line? Well, instead of jumping in and fighting them, you can
hold yourself back and solve things in a calm manner. It’s not hard, and we aren’t pretending that it is, but you need to learn how to control yourself.
Yes! This guy drives you crazy and you want to talk to him and be with him the whole day. As a result, you barrage him with texts and call him constantly for no good reason.
Even if he’s blue-ticked you (not because he’s ghosting you) but because he has real-life responsibilities, you keep at it.
This indicates that you have too much time and very little to do. We all know that if you are constructively occupied, you will not stick to your phone. What should you do?
Give him space. Call him once or text once. If he doesn’t get back right away, leave it alone. He will get back when he can.
No one likes a chronic complainer. If you are the type of person who spends most of your time complaining about every single thing, it’s just a matter of time before he walks away.
If you realise that he is not acting on your requests, find a good time for both of you to talk. When you sit down, avoid being accusatory and speak in an empathetic tone.
Always put a positive spin on the conversation and help him understand what he should do to make things better.
Give him a chance to explain himself and show some level of understanding. If you notice that you lack communication skills, do something to improve yourself otherwise, your relationships will barely have a chance.
If you are an open book, your man won’t trust you with anything because you will share it with anyone and everyone. Men want women who they can confide in.
The inability to do this demonstrates a lack of boundaries as you leave him vulnerable because multiple people have an insight into your issues.
Keep your friends and family out of your relationship. If you want to talk, talk to him or perhaps get a professional counsellor.
If you disrespect your man in any way, you lose his interest. You’ve probably heard that respect is the one thing men crave more than anything in this world.
Belittling him, talking down on him and a complete disregard will not work. If the man you are dating is not up to your standards, let him go. If there are things you think he should work on, communicate that in a good way.
