1. Highly processed foods

Too much consumption of processed foods can contribute to too much fat around the organs, which is associated with a decrease in brain tissue. Processed foods may lead to an increase in brain inflammation and cause harm to your memory, learning, brain plasticity, and the blood-brain barrier.

2. Sugary drink

A high intake of sugary drinks may lead to an increased risk of dementia. They can lead to brain inflammation and impair memory and learning. However, much study is needed.

3. Refined carbs

Excess intake of refined carbs with a high glycemic index (GI) and glycemic load (GL) may lead to the damage of your memory and intelligence, as well as make your risk of dementia rise. These include sugars and highly processed grains like white flour.

Trans fats may be associated with impaired memory and Alzheimer’s risk, but the proof is mixed. Lessening your consumption of trans fats and increasing the unsaturated fats in your diet may be an effective way to avoid brain damage.
