Another youngster who has emerged recently is Hannibal Mejbri, who last month scored his first goal for Manchester United.

1. Dan Gore

The 19-year-old Dan Gore, who just made his first team debut in the Carabao Cup, partnered with Mainoo in midfield during the FA Youth Cup.

During preseason, the aggressive midfielder made an impression. Most recently, he scored an excellent solo goal for the under-21s against Blackburn. The future is bright for Gore, who is currently frequently training with the senior squad and has already captured Erik ten Hag’s attention.

2. Ethan Williams

Ethan Williams, another energetic wide forward, had a breakout season with the under-18s last year, leading the club in goals and assists overall.

Williams was quickly promoted to the under-21s, where he has already scored, after recording one goal and one assist in one under-18 game this season.

Williams, 17, has lately trained with the Manchester United first squad. Although this season may be too soon for him, he is a player to watch in 2024 preseason.

3. Finley McAllister

Finley McAllister, a midfielder for England’s youth national team, earned his under-18s debut at the age of 14.

The club has a perfect record thus far, and the 17-year-old centre midfielder has started the season strong with two goals and two assists in five games.

While McAllister, like Williams, is still a year away, he is a very talented player who is currently progressing significantly after an injury-plagued season in 2022–2023.

4. Harry Amass

Harry Amass was a summer transfer from Watford, and Manchester United should be highly delighted by his early performance.

The 17-year-old is excelling at left-back, a position where Manchester United is currently limited on options.

At the weekend, he gave United’s under-18 team his first assist, so his development is one to watch. He was most recently selected for the England under-17 team.

5. Shea Lacey

Shea Lacey is said to be the most exciting prospect in the Manchester United academy due to his remarkable combination of passing, dribbling, and goal-scoring skills.

Lacey, 16, made his under-18s debut last season at the age of 15, and this season has contributed to five goals in six academy games.
