Diabetes is the main cause of serious diseases like heart failure, and some cardiovascular diseases like stroke, sexual dysfunction, nephropathy, retinopathy, vascular dysfunction, and different forms of cancer including kidney disease.

Most diabetic patients usually suffer from non-healing wounds, which has led to the amputation of limbs, hands, and feet of some people.

In this article, we shall analyze some signs of diabetes at its early stage. Please don’t take them for granted.

So, according to the health line (Medical News Today), the following are the early signs of diabetes.

1. Increased Thirst: There is a normal amount of fluids to be taken daily, according to “The U.S National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine”, a man should take adequate fluids of 15.5 cups (3.7 liters) daily. So, if you’re taking more or you’re thirsty often and urinating too often, do well to check the level of sugar in your blood.

2. Blurry Vision: High blood sugar level has the tendency to affect the blood vessels in the retina, and if this happened, it will cause dilation of the eyes lens and a condition known as retinopathy which if not taken care of can seriously affect the eyes.

3. Frequent Urination: This is another sign of diabetes, this does arise when there is too much sugar in the blood and thereby stressing the kidney is working round the clock to get rid of fluids.

4. Tingling or Numbness in the Legs and Toes: This happens as a result of damages to the blood vessels and nerves in the legs due to high sugar level in the blood. It can also be called neuropathy.

5. Sores That Don’t Heal: If you’re experiencing hardship in the healing of wounds, please rush to the hospital to check your sugar level. A diabetic patient will experience unhealed wounds.
