Ginger tea has a spicy and warming flavour. You can create your own by grating or slicing fresh ginger into a mug, or you can purchase it as dried, loose bits or tea bags.

According to Healthline, below are 4 medical conditions that can be managed by drinking ginger tea regularly.

1. Inflammation.

Ginger includes essential phytonutrients known as gingerols, which have been found to have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties and may help support a healthy microbiome when consumed as a tea.

2. High Blood Pressure.

According to a 2017 study, people who eat ginger on a daily basis had a lower risk of hypertension. Although the study did not explicitly look at ginger tea, it may be beneficial if you have high blood pressure.

3. Obesity.

There have been a few research on the weight-loss and obesity advantages of ginger. According to a review of this study, ginger may help people lose weight through a variety of processes, including hunger management and increased thermogenesis (heat production). 4. Sore throat and cold.

According to a 2011 laboratory study, ginger proved more efficient than some antibiotics against the bacteria that causes streptococcal pharyngitis, or strep throat.

The antiviral effects of ginger were further supported by experts in a 2013 laboratory research. Fresh ginger was found to be beneficial against the human respiratory syncytial virus, but not dried ginger.
