So this simply means that what we humans eat and consume can also affect our vision in our eyes. There is a saying that goes like this: you are what you eat.

Here are some foods that are good for the eyes.

1. White bread and pasta.

Research shows the major cause of blindness or loss of vision in elderly people has been linked to what they eat, such as carbohydrates like a high intake of white bread and pasta.

In some cases, this might lead to an increase in blood sugar levels, and such things can, in some cases, lead to blindness for elderly people.

2. Process Meat.

According to healthline. High intake of processed meats, such as bacon, hot dogs, and so on, is harmful to one’s health. Such processed foods have sodium, and such things might contribute to an increase in blood pressure or hypertension.

Many people have blurred vision or visual loss when suffering from hypertension, so it is best to reduce your intake of processed meats. This is not good for your eyes and general health.

3. Foods that have been deep-fried

Cholesterol levels can be increased or raised if you keep eating deep-fried foods all the time. Fried foods can also increase your chances of having heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, and, at times, cause bad vision or blindness.

It also produces chemicals called radicals, which can damage your body cells and also lead to death.

Foods like tomatoes, peppers, and fruits are high in vitamin C and can help fight radicals in the human body.

4. Sugary beverages.

Such sugary beverages can lead to type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and, in some cases, blindness or blurred vision if taken too much. Research shows drinking water is the best and healthiest option when you feel like drinking something.
