Key players such as Ngolo Kante, Wesley Fofana, Reece James, Ben Chilwell, Raheem Sterling, Edouard Mendy, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Armando Broja, Christian Pulisic and Denis Zakaria have all suffered long term injuries and currently none of them is fit enough for a premier league match this weekend.
The good news is that there is a glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel, four of those key players mentioned above are now gradually building up fitness and could be set for a return in no distant time.
Reece James and Ngolo Kante two weeks ago teased the Chelsea supporters by posting a photo of themselves as they began the final phase of their recovery process, Reece James ever since then have been spotted training at Cobham centre abet on individual basis.
Then Ben Chilwell showed photo of himself training at Cobham centre as Chelsea prepared for their last week game against Fulham while yesterday central defender Wesley Fofana uploaded a photo of himself dressed in Chelsea training kit at Cobham centre.
Chelsea will be delighted to have these three players back as they head into February and the UEFA champions league return.
