After their devastating defeat against Liverpool last year, Bournemouth is set to face off against them again at Anfield in the second week of the 2023-24 Premier League season, on a Saturday afternoon.

Liverpool managed to secure a 1-1 draw against Chelsea in their previous match, although some may argue that luck was on their side. Meanwhile, Bournemouth had a similar outcome with a 1-1 draw against West Ham United on their home ground.

In their highly anticipated opening match, Liverpool’s manager Jurgen Klopp warmly greeted Chelsea’s boss Mauricio Pochettino as he returned to the touchline at Stamford Bridge last weekend. However, Klopp aimed to give Pochettino a tough welcome back to the Premier League during the game.

Despite Salah’s disappointment of not continuing his streak of scoring in every Premier League opening game since 2017, he was substituted in the second half. Despite having only 35% of ball possession in West London, Liverpool still managed to leave with a respectable point.
