After their devastating defeat against Liverpool last year, Bournemouth is set to face off against them again at Anfield in the second week of the 2023-24 Premier League season, on a Saturday afternoon.
Liverpool managed to secure a 1-1 draw against Chelsea in their previous match, although some may argue that luck was on their side. Meanwhile, Bournemouth had a similar outcome with a 1-1 draw against West Ham United on their home ground.
In their highly anticipated opening match, Liverpool’s manager Jurgen Klopp warmly greeted Chelsea’s boss Mauricio Pochettino as he returned to the touchline at Stamford Bridge last weekend. However, Klopp aimed to give Pochettino a tough welcome back to the Premier League during the game.
Liverpool started the game with great intensity and were rewarded when Mohamed Salah’s well-placed pass found Luis Diaz, who scored the opening goal.

However, Liverpool might soon finalize a surprise move for Wataru Endo from Stuttgart.
In their last home game of the 2022-23 Premier League season, Liverpool faced Aston Villa and the match ended in a 1-1 draw. This result crushed Liverpool’s hopes of qualifying for the Champions League.
