2. Fruit juices

Lessen your fruit juices intake and other sugar-sweetened beverages if you are suffering from kidney disease and diabetes.

These drinks seem to contain added sugar in high amounts that can lead to a rapid increase in blood sugar. This calls for concern because diabetes affects your body’s capacity to absorb sugar effectively, and prolonged high blood sugar levels can cause various health complications.

3. Potatoes and sweet potatoes

Potatoes and sweet potatoes are rich sources of potassium, of which people with kidney disease should be concerned, particularly those with late-stage kidney disease.

Although, potatoes and sweet potatoes can be soaked or leached to lessen their potassium content.
