The transfer window is not officially opened yet, but Manchester United are already having talks with their transfer target, as they aim to get their transfer business completed as soon as possible, so as to have all new players available for Pre-season training under Erik Ten Hag.
Apparently, some major players would have to make way from the United squad this summer, with Nemanja Matic, Paul Pogba, Edinson Cavani, Jesse Lingard, and Juan Mata already confirming that they would be leaving the club.
Erik Ten Hag would need top signings to replace the outgoing players. A lot of top player have already been linked with a move to United this summer.
So in this article, we will be looking at the top three signings that united could make this summer that would get their fans super excited.
1. Darwin Nunez
Benfica striker Darwin Nunez is one of the hottest properties in this summer transfer window, after his terrific season with Benfica in the just concluded football campaign, which saw him score 34 goals across all competitions.
The 22 years is tipped to be the Erling Haaland kind of player, who is very sharp in front of goal, and could cause opposing defenders a lot of problems with his pace, positioning, and clinicality.
United would need a striker of Darwin Nunez type next season, to help Cristiano Ronaldo with the goal scoring duties, which would make their attack more fearful for opposing teams.
2. Christopher Nkunku
Manchester United are reported to be one of the clubs, alongside with Chelsea to be interested in signing RB Leipzig forward Christopher Nkunku this summer.
Nkunku was named the Bundesliga player of the season in the just concluded campaign, due to his sensational performances in the league, and across all competitions, which saw him make over 50 goals contribution for RB Leipzig, scoring 35 and providing 20 assists.
The versatility of the 24 years old could make him the kind of player that United needs, as he could play across all forward positions, as a striker, attacking midfieder, and even on the flanks.
3. Pau Torres
The United’s defense is one aspect of the team that Erik Ten Hag would be looking for solutions for in the transfer market, and Pau Torres has been heavily linked with United this summer to help solve their defensive crisis.
The 25 years old is considered to be one of the best center backs in the La Liga, he was vital for Villarreal winning the 2021 Europa League title, and helping them reach the Champions League semi finals as well this season.
His addition to the Manchester United squad this summer, could go a long way in solidifying their defense next season.
