For this reason, they may need to eat more food. In this article we shall be looking at the three best foods that is good for a person with HIV/AIDS.

1. Fruits and vegetables.

People who are HIV positive need extra vitamins and minerals to help repair and heal damaged cells. Eat foods high in these vitamins and minerals, which can help boost your immune system. Vitamin A and beta-carotene such as orange, or red vegetables and fruit, whole eggs and milk.

2. Protein.

Protein is important for a person with HIV to eat because it is needed to make, repair and maintain cells in the body. It also plays a role in the immune system. Protein supplementation has also been found to be safe for a person with HIV. However, a few people with milk protein intolerance may get diarrhea or bloating if they consume more than 40 grams per day.

3. Healthy fluids.

Drinking enough liquids is very important when you have HIV. Fluids transport the nutrients you need through your body.
