Mwaura also accused Raila Odinga of being deceptive, claiming that Raila had initially convinced Kalonzo Musyoka that he wouldn’t run for president again and even had his brother Oburu Odinga declare Opiyo Wandayi as his successor in Nyanza.

“Raila, being the deceptive man he is, had duped Kalonzo that he would not be running for president again. He even sent his brother Oburu Odinga to declare Opiyo Wandayi as his successor in Nyanza.

“It should not be lost to the fact that the people of Lower Eastern have been demanding that it is about time that Kalonzo got the backing of Raila, having supported him thrice since 2013.

Now that Kalonzo has formally recognised Ruto as President, if Raila makes good his threat to run for the presidency again, Kalonzo will more than likely join the government of the day.” He said.

However, according to Mwaura, this stance has been reversed, and there are indications that Raila may consider running for president once more.

Isaac Mwaura suggests that the people of Lower Eastern have been advocating for Raila Odinga to support Kalonzo Musyoka, given their support for him in three previous elections since 2013.

He asserts that now that Kalonzo has officially acknowledged William Ruto as President, if Raila decides to run for the presidency again, Kalonzo is likely to align himself with the government in power.

Mwaura believes that if Raila loses the election, it would be a significant defeat, and a portion of his traditional supporters from Nyanza would vote for President Ruto.

He mentions several emerging leaders who could influence this shift in voter support, including Tom Ojienda, Caroli Omondi, Evans Kidero, and others, who could potentially rally voters from Nyanza behind President Ruto.
