Speaking on Sunday, October 13, 2024, President Ruto detailed that he is focused on putting the country on the right pedestal by driving change in various sectors.

However, he acknowledged that the task requires commitment and support from Kenyans.

The Head of State who attended a service at AIC Milimani Nairobi asked the church to rally behind him and pleaded with Kenyans to throw their weight behind his administration to achieve transformational change.

Ruto argued that Kenya had become a mainstay in the global arena and thus needed to match the standards and calibre of a country in that status.

โ€œWe must not look back and I will not look back to oversee the transformation of Kenya. I ask for your support, I ask for your prayer. Implementing some of the transformational changes to change our nation requires prayers, requires commitment but I want to promise you that this nation, by Godโ€™s grace we are going to change it, I am very confident that we are going to change this nation,โ€ the Head of State stated.

โ€œSometimes we underestimate what Kenya is. Kenya is a great nation and we should be proud of this nation that God has given to us,โ€ he added.

Ruto on Haiti mission

Ruto used the preliminary success recorded by Kenyan police officers in a peacekeeping mission in Haiti to further defend his point.

He pointed out that the fact the United Nations trusted Kenya to lead the mission shows how much the country had grown and gained accolades in the global arena.

โ€œI am very happy that from the humble beginnings of our nation, today we have a nation that stands out globally. A nation that many nations look up to for leadership and support,โ€ he stated.

โ€œTwo days ago, the Prime Minister of Haiti was here with gratitude for what our policemen are doing thousands of kilometres away from Kenya,โ€ he emphasised.

During the church service, he shied away from addressing the pending impeachment motion hearing of Deputy Rigathi Gachagua which is slated for Wednesday, October 16, 2024, and Thursday, October 17, 2024โ€ฆCLICK HERE TO READ MORE ARTICLES>>>ย
