Court Suspends Meru Governor’s Impeachment Proceedings Following Disruption

The resident identified as Moses Kimson appeared before Justice Bahati Mwamuye in an online session and demanded to know why Governor Kawira is still in office.

“Kindly our court note that Meru we are suffering, kindly let us know why Kawira she is still holding the office. We don’t have Doctors in our hospital for more than 60 days now.” questioned the resident without any leave of the Court.

He muted his camera immediately after typing the said statement and persistently defied court order to unmute the camera and explain to the court why he was disorderly in an active court proceeding.

This angered the court and issued a warrant of arrest against the resident.
