If the club manage to secure these stars, here’s how their backline could look like:
Option A
Jules Kounde could form a central defensive pairing with rising star Ronald Araujo while Cesar Azpilicueta displaces Sergino Dest on the right-back spot.
Jordi Alba is still the favorite on the left-back position.

Option B
The second option for the club is to retain Gerard Pique in the heart of the defence. In this case, the Spanish veteran could play alongside Andreas Christensen while American star Sergino Dest occupies the right-back spot.
