According to the article published by Very Well Health, the following are six factors that can affect the womb (or uterus).

1. Dysmenorrhea

This is simply known as menstrual pain. It can occur during and/or before a period. It’s not usually a medical health problem, but it shouldn’t be overlooked. It often improves with hormone therapy or pain medication.

2. Menorrhagia

This means heavy menstrual bleeding or bleeding that lasts too long. It can occur for no reason, and it can also be caused by the following symptoms:

A. Imbalances in hormones

B. Cancer

C. Fibroids

D. Polyps

E. Certain types of birth control

F. Other medical conditions

Heavy or chronic bleeding can also cause iron-deficiency anemia, a low red blood cell count that has symptoms like fatigue, tachycardia (rapid heart rate), and pale skin. If you have a low red blood cell count, you might need treatment to treat the anemia and regulate the bleeding.

Note: Heavy bleeding and pain can cause uterine issues. Pain is not a sign of a problem. But heavy bleeding can be caused by medications, growth, hormone changes, or cancer.

3. Uterine Prolapse

This simply means that the ligaments and the muscles that hold the uterus and protect it from harm have been weakened. This type of issue is very common among older women.

The most common symptoms are:

A. Urine leaks.

B. An urgent feeling that you need to urinate.

C. Pain during or after intimacy in severe cases.

4. Retroverted Uterus

A retroverted uterus occurs when the uterus tilts far back toward the spine. Sometimes, it might not cause any symptoms, but in a rare condition, it can cause an issue during pregnancy. This issue can be detected by the doctor during a pelvic exam.

5. Fibroids

These are growths in the lining or walls of the womb. Sometimes, they can be joined to the outside of the womb with the help of a stalk. Fibroids can be small or large. The following are symptoms of fibroids:
