However, some of these players are currently struggling in the 2022/23 season but wouldn’t worry because they won’t be going to World cup. The image below depicts some of these players who will not play in the FIFA world cup tournament.
Goalkeeper: Jan Oblak.
Defenders: Chiellini, Victor Lindelof, Robertson and Spinazzola.
Midfielders: Marco Verratti, and Martin Odegaard.
Wingers: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Mohamed Salah.
Strikers: Erling Haaland and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Despite the fact that Erling Haaland has scored an incredible 15 goals in the Premier league this season, the Nowergian striker wouldn’t be featuring in the 2022 FIFA world cup. Moreso, Mohamed Salah’s form has deepened since he signed new contract with the Merseyside reds.
The Egyptian failed to qualify his national team and so won’t be participating in the upcoming FIFA world cup. Some of these players might not be able to participate in the tournament till they retire from international games and this is because of their teams inability to qualify for the tournament held once in four years.
