Ajax has been trying to strengthen their squad as many players has already left the club this summer. Manchester united and Arsenal are also keen in signing Lisandro Martinez and if this deal pull through, Ajax might want to sign a replacement.
Steven Bergwijn deal is currently the most expensive signings in Eredivisie History. Before his transfer deal, it was Sebastien Haller who occupied the top spot after he joined the Dutch club from West Ham for 22.5 million Euros.
However, he has now joined Borussia Dortmund ahead of the 2022/23 season. Asides Steven Bergwijn and Sebastien Haller, other three players whose transfer fee was more than 15 million pounds includes Neres, Sulejmani and Daley Blind.
However, it is Ajax who have completed nine of the ten signings in the Eredivisie’s most expensive signings. The only PSV signing in the list is Kezman who joined the Dutch club in 2000/01 for 14 million Euros. Manchester united summer target Antony also made the top ten list.
The Winger was signed by Ajax for 15.8 million Euros. However, Manchester United are yet to make an official bid for Antony, but there is a possibility he wouldn’t be playing for the Dutch club next season.
Other players who made the list of top ten most expensive signings in Eredivisie includes Tadic, Alvarez and Promes. Most of these players are no longer playing in the Eredivisie.
