She was raised by her father, and according to her, she was told that her mother died while giving birth to her. She grew up under the care of her father and her stepmother. Life was not easy for her since she didn’t get motherly love.
She dropped out of school due to a lack of school fees and ended up doing manual jobs in the village. After some time, she fell in love with a guy who asked for her hand in marriage after a few months of dating.
She got married, but her marriage had so many challenges because her husband was a drunkard. This started after delivering her second-born child. He would return home drunk without food and demand her to give him food, but when she failed, he could beat her.
She chose to persevere since her father would not accept her back with the kids. Her husband didn’t change; he continued hating her and beating her for no reason. When she was 3 months pregnant with her fifth-born, her husband returned home drunk and started a fight.
He took an axe that was behind the door and was ready to hit her with it. She managed to grab the axe from him and hit his head in self-defense. He took the axe and ran after her. The following morning she received the news that her husband died.
