Addressing Journalists at New Media Centre on Tuesday 23rd July, leaders led by Secretary General Shakilla Abdallah said that President William Ruto should address the concerns GenZs have raised and stop calling opposition and people for dialogue
`Azimio has pronounced itself that it will not board the ongoing calls for dialogue and forming what they are calling broad based government. Our leaders among them Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka have said no before justice for the victims of the police brutality is served,” Abdallah noted
The MPs confirmed that there are few handful individuals within the ODM who want to sabotage the coalition but they should join the government on their capacity without invoking the names of their party leaders
Makueni Senator Daniel Maanzo told Ruto to compensate the victims of police brutality, stating that his county has lost two brilliant young boys who were not even participating in demonstrations
“We enacted a bill at Parliament called Victims Compensation Act, the government should utilize the funds to compensate those who have been killed and tortured by police,” Maanzo stated.
Matangulu lawmaker Stephen Mule stressed that there are now new norms with new sheriff in town called Gen-Zs and if any leader absconds their demands, they will ruthlessly face the full wrath of Kenyans
He advised the Kenya Kwanza Administration to stop issuing ultimatums and threats because they may plunge the country into bloodshed instead of coming with clean hands to solve the issues being raised by youths
“Anayetaka kwenda aende kimasomaso peke yake na hasiweke jina la Raila ama Kalonzo ndani aende huko akazimie peke yake manake tunasimama ma wananchi.
“Don’t think that talking tough and giving ultimatums will silence GenZs before they got what they want. They are demanding for better governance and free corruption,” Mule advised.
Mule, who’s serving his third term warned some MPs that they will not be elected even if they spent billions on campaigns because Gen-Zs have changed the politics and some people will be made legislators without even campaigning…CONTINUE READING>>
