President William Ruto arrived at the White House in Washington, DC, on Wednesday, May 22, continuing his historic visit to the United States.

President Joe Biden received Ruto at the White House for the historic visit.

A widely circulated video showed Biden taking the head of state to the esteemed Oval Office at the White House.

The two leaders subsequently posed for a photograph while exchanging handshakes.

Biden then gestured for Ruto to take a seat while pulling out a chair in the Oval Office, displaying a gesture of hospitality.

Ruto, who could not contain his excitement, moved next to Biden and took a seat as Biden stood behind him.

President William Ruto met with Barack Obama at Blair House on Thursday, May 23. The leaders embraced and exchanged greetings in Kiswahili.

Obama expressed sincere gratitude for the warm reception extended to him during his trips to Kenya in July 2015, while in office, and once more in July 2018, post-presidency.
